WHAT IS P.R.O. (PERFORMANCE RIGHTS ORGANIZATION)?
P.R.O. is usually a Non-Profit organization which collects royalties (money) from, for example TV and Radio Stations, and delivers them to artists/composers and pulishers. P.R.O. organization takes care so that all of the payments between those two sides are distributed as agreed.
Every country has its own P.R.O. so for example US has 3: BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, Germany has GEMA, UK has PRS, France has SACEM, etc.

DO I HAVE TO PAY ROYALTIES?
If your project/production is going to be available only on web (or uploaded to web), then in that case there isn't a need to pay any royalties.
If your project/production is going to be broadcasted via TV or Radio Network, in that case the TV/Radio Network is the one to pay the royalties.
The same applies if your project is part of the live event, unless you're the owner/organizator of the event or the venue.

WHAT IS CUE SHEET?
In order for P.R.O. to know how to distribute the money to artists/composers and publishers, it needs something called a Cue Sheet which is basically a "paper" consisting of information about artist and publisher shares, name of the production(s), list of music used in production(s), etc.
Cue Sheet is usually filled either by a publisher or the creator of the production (this might mean either you or TV Network, owner of the venue, etc.)

WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD CUE SHEET(S)?
Cue Sheets can be downloaded directly from most of P.R.O.'s websites but, just in case, we got you a template ready for download right here on our website (please find it below)! You can also download it directly from BMI's website (P.R.O. with which we're registered).

WHAT DO I DO WITH CUE SHEET? WHAT INFO SHOULD I ADD?
In the Cue Sheet you should add your own Production's information, list of music track(s) used, duration of the music used and info about artist(s)/composer(s) and publisher(s).
In our case, when it comes to artist/composer and publisher shares, you'd need to add the following information:
COMPOSER/WRITER: RAFAEL KRUX, PRO AFFILIATION: BMI, 100.00% SHARES
PUBLISHER: INSTANT MUSIC PUBLISHING AND LICENSING, PRO AFFILIATION: BMI, 100.00% SHARES
Please find below the example of how to fill a Cue Sheet:
